Happy Friday! Here are our five tips for tools that improve the experience of using the CLI (command-line interface)!
Tip #1
Synchronize zsh history between computers using ZSH History Database. Useful for finding a command you ran from home office but can’t find at the office.
Tip #2
Supercharge your shell prompt using Spaceship Prompt. Supports showing information for Git, Kubernetes, Google Cloud and many other tools.
Tip #3
Use fzf for better history searching – makes it super easy to filter the history (and other lists) using fuzzy matching.
Tip #4
Use zoxide for a smarter cd that keeps track of folders you use most. Works even better in combination with fzf!
Tip #5
Use fastmod for a powerful search and replace tool in a codebase. Supports regex and has a very nice UI to apply changes.
